Frequently Asked Questions

How does TrackApp collect rankings?

TrackApp uses the App Store search API directly on your device. When you search for a keyword, your iPhone queries the App Store and returns the real search results. This means the data is authentic and comes from your actual device, not from scraped or simulated sources.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your ranking data stays local on your device. When data is synced to our server for aggregation, it is encrypted via the QUIC protocol. We do not collect personal information, and your searches are not shared with third parties.

Why don't I see my app in results?

TrackApp displays the top 200 results from the App Store for each keyword search. If your app does not appear, it may not rank within the top 200 for that particular keyword. Try different keyword variations or less competitive terms.

How often are rankings updated?

Rankings are updated each time you manually search for a keyword in the app. There is no automatic background polling. This gives you fresh, on-demand data whenever you need it.

Does TrackApp work offline?

Yes, for viewing previously saved ranking data and history. However, performing new keyword searches requires an active internet connection since the app queries the App Store in real time.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual apps and their associated ranking data by swiping left on the app in the dashboard. To remove all data, simply uninstall TrackApp from your device. All local data is permanently erased upon removal.
