Step 1 Add an App

Start by adding the iOS app you want to track. TrackApp uses the App Store bundle ID to identify your app.

  1. Open TrackApp and tap the + button on the dashboard.
  2. Enter the bundle ID of your app (e.g., com.example.myapp).
  3. TrackApp looks up your app on the App Store and fetches its metadata: name, icon, developer, and category.
  4. Once confirmed, the app appears on your dashboard, ready to track.
Tip

You can find your bundle ID in App Store Connect, or in the App Store URL of your app. It usually looks like com.yourcompany.appname.

Step 2 Search Keywords

Once your app is added, you can search for keywords to see where it ranks in the App Store search results.

  1. Tap on your app from the dashboard to open it.
  2. Type a keyword in the search bar (e.g., "photo editor", "fitness tracker").
  3. TrackApp searches the App Store directly from your device and returns the top results.
  4. Your app's ranking position is highlighted if it appears in the results.
Tip

Try searching for different variations of your keywords. Singular vs. plural, abbreviations, and common misspellings can all yield different rankings.

Step 3 Track Over Time

Every search you perform is saved locally on your device, building a history of your keyword rankings.

Tip

Search your most important keywords regularly (e.g., daily or weekly) to build a reliable ranking history and detect changes early.

Step 4 Manage Your Apps

Keep your dashboard organized by managing the apps you track.

Tip

Deleting an app from TrackApp does not affect the app on the App Store. It only removes it from your local tracking dashboard.
