1. Introduction
TrackApp ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the TrackApp iOS application.
By using TrackApp, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Data We Collect
TrackApp collects minimal data required to provide the service:
- Device ID — A randomly generated UUID assigned to your device. This is not linked to your Apple ID or any personal identifier.
- Device name — The name of your device (e.g., "John's iPhone") used only for display purposes in the app.
- Keyword searches — The keywords you search for within TrackApp, used to query the App Store and track rankings.
- Ranking results — The App Store search results returned for each keyword query, including app positions and metadata.
3. How We Use Data
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Provide the service — To display your keyword rankings, maintain your ranking history, and deliver the core functionality of TrackApp.
- Aggregate anonymous rankings — Ranking data may be aggregated anonymously to improve the accuracy and coverage of keyword rankings across all users. Individual searches are never shared or made public.
4. Data Storage
Your ranking data is stored locally on your device. When data is synced to our server, the transfer is encrypted using the QUIC protocol (TLS 1.3). Our servers are located in Europe.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
TrackApp interacts with the following third-party service:
- Apple App Store Search API — Used directly on your device to retrieve search results for keywords. This is Apple's public API and is subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — You can request a copy of the data we hold about your device.
- Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — You can request deletion of your data. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data. Contact us to request server-side deletion.
- Right to restriction — You can request that we limit processing of your data.
- Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at trackapp@shader.be.
7. Children's Privacy
TrackApp is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
